Reach & Rescue Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit organization. It was founded by Dr. Beverly Jones in 2004. The vision of Reach & Rescue Ministries Inc. is to demonstrate the love of God through spiritual, physical and social assistance to families who experience poverty and homelessness.
At the core of Reach & Rescue Ministries is a deep commitment to meeting the physical and emotional needs of those experiencing homelessness. Through regular outreach initiatives, the ministry distributes food items, clean clothing, hygiene kits, and other essential supplies to men, women, and families who are living in temporary shelters, transitional units, or low-income housing. These efforts not only provide immediate relief but also serve as a bridge to trust and connection, reminding individuals that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.
Three Teams make up the Reach & Rescue Ministries Inc.
Service Team
This team regularly visits shelters and low income housing to teach, comfort, and encourage the residents through chapels, Bible studies and special programs.
Transition Team
This team collects, stores and distributes furniture, clothing, and household items to families moving from shelters to housing.
Follow-up Team
This team commits to a minimum of six months of communication with formerly homeless families to connect them with churches, support groups, and public agencies.
Charitable - Religious - Educational
- To provide support for the relief of poor, distressed, abused, and underprivileged women and their families.
- To provide teaching and instruction for the purposes of improving and developing personal capabilities and a Christian life and witness.
- To promote religious practices consistent with our Christian beliefs and statement of faith.
- To be a resource for comparing societal deterioration in the community.
